It angers me when players just like give up and are like "fuck it" in games, like Jim is doing. It's pretty annoying tbh..

I agree 100% Tasha, and I had a conversation with Austin about this not too long ago where I considered not even giving Jim All Stars because of this. Now Austin has kinda talked me out of doing that, but yeah, it pains me to see guys like Vince and Pete in pre-jury, people who look to actually WANT to be in thiss game, versus Liz and JJim who are just...ugh. I'm also going to HEAVILY enforce the "no confessional = self vote" rule next season, solely because of Liz. This is just ridiculous. Constantly having to IM me everything (including her Idol Smash answers)....yeah. Which is funny, cause Jim harped on me to not count a vote Woo submitted after deadline "cause it needs to be in their confessional or else it doesn't count" ...yet Liz has done this for like 3 rounds now. Can you tell I'm cranky right now? |

Well, as surprising as it probably is for me to take this stance, I don't really see a rule anywhere stating that what Liz is doing isn't allowed. It does say in confessionals that this is where they'll vote, but there's nothing stating that IMed votes / challenge answers won't be accepted, and with all due respect you're the one who decided not to enforce the "No confessional = Self Vote" rule. If she's not supposed to IM things for challenges - don't let her. Tell her to post it where it's supposed to be posted, or it doesn't count. Players (myself included) will always take advantage of leniency, and you're not a bad host for refusing to give that leniency if you suspect it's being abused.
I would say that Jim, regardless of anything else, was one of the most visible players in the entire cast. I'd say ask him if he's interested in playing AS and/or actually putting in significant amounts of effort (the way you did with me last season) and see what his response is. If he indicates that he'd play AS the same way, or worse, don't cast him. Hosts aren't obligated to give AS spots to people who are going to troll the game.
As for Vince and Pete, I'd say make a point of telling them they were robbed this season and encourage them to apply for season three. It sucks for a host to feel like the work they're putting into hosting isn't valued, and it sucks the same way for players to feel like their efforts aren't appreciated either. Letting them know that they're liked and appreciated is a great way to encourage them to keep coming back and stick with the series.

I never wrote a rule about IM'd votes because frankly I didn't think I'd have much of a problem with happening only once in a while. But i'm imagining if Wes wants to make a voting chart for the season and there's a bunch of votes for someone that aren't there, it'll complicate all that. That may sound a little dumb, but knowing Joe he'll probably want to do that. So as it stands right now All Stars are Natalie, Laura, Katie, Aras and Jim as a maybe, once I have that talk with him Mike discussed. |

No love for Abi and So???  Laura started out strong but she has been just as much of a non entity as Liz has in these last few rounds. I can't even remember the last time she confessed. |
